When it calmed down a little bit last night, we headed outside only to see this just a few doors down and not far from the car that I'd left parked outside. The tree fell directly into the next door neighbor's yard, and just barely missed the house. Luckily everyone was safe, and the tree owner wasn't even home. What a nasty surprise to come home to.

Wow, wow, super wow. No wonder you were out on the porch watching the storm! We are having some scary weather--lucky there is no ocean nearby....
Holy tree fall! It's crazy that it was taken up by it's roots - that is nuts. Good thing you guys didn't plant a tree in your yard last weekend - it would have probably been toast.
